Writing a tutorial is a detailed and rather time-disposing task by itself. Nine out of ten times, once a writer is finished, he either rests, or submits his tutorial quickly to the largest tutorial websites online that he sees fit for easy exposure. Okay, maybe that's just me. But for those of you out there like me who strive hard to write quality and bring that information to all parts of the web, we have composed a comprehensive list of websites that you can submit your tutorial to.
These websites are not just your "majors" like Good-Tutorials, Pixel2Life, and Tutorialized, this list also includes websites that may get small notice but still offer a bang for their buck. Why? Because they offer a free link to your tutorial on your website, which in turn helps SERP over time. So either way, it's best to submit your website's tutorial almost anywhere you can to maximize not only the exposure of your tutorial, but the position and reach of your website as well. Tutorial Submission Preparation There are a couple of things you have prepared before going submit hunting. The first thing you should do is make sure that your tutorial looks good and clean on your website. Check for broken links, errors, and even spelling mistakes. It may be good to get a little bit picky and mess with diction but make sure that your tutorial is readable and well composed. Another thing is, make sure that you number your tutorials; it seems to be a plus amongst visitors. Next thing to do is prepare thumbnails. Generally, most websites will take 40X40 GIF's and JPEG's but it is best to prepare for the worst. So in photoshop, be sure to save sizes 40X40, 45X45, and 50X50. Also be sure to save in GIF and JPEG format since pretty much all websites either take one or the other. When you're done, create a nice synopsis of your tutorial and use a catchy title which is not too trendy but not too dull to catch attention on tutorial directories. Being professional with not only your tutorial's content but it's synopsis on other websites is also key. And when you're finished, begin submitting! Signup Required
